According to The Boston Herald, OF Bobby Kielty may be going to another team rather than reporting to The Red Sox triple A affiliate. While he could wait and see if Coco Crisp gets traded, which would open up more playing time, he is weighing his options of other teams. His agent has said that another team is expressing interest, but he will not disclose that teams name.

“Boston has been pretty good about letting me explore options and see what’s out there,” Kielty said. “I don’t think there’s a set decision. We’ll see what happens in the next 24 hours. There’s definitely something out there. It’s just a matter of waiting and seeing what happens. I don’t want to go anywhere, but we’ll see. If there’s a big league job somewhere, I might have to take it.”

I think if there really is another big league job, you can assume that Kielty’s time in Boston is over.
