Bonds still without team

Recently the Rays came out saying they had no interest in Bonds. Now, it seems, that the Rangers also want it known that they want nothing to do with the home run king. The Star-Telegram had a quote from Rangers owner Tom Hicks saying:
“There are very few things that Nolan would want that I would veto,” Hicks said. “That (getting Bonds) would be one of them. We want character players. That’s part of the plan.”
It just seems like teams want nothing to do with him.

In an interview with The New York Post, Peter Gammons still seems to think that there is a possibility of Barry Bonds playing in Japan this year. I have trouble seeing him doing this, but Gammons says the other option is likely retirement. That seems like a much more realistic play for Bonds.
